Tour day was today (and tomorrow, Sunday September 18th 2016, from 10 to 5 if you can make it). It is the AIA's Homes by Architects tour, house number 13. All the details, such as the temporary railing, the permanent doors, the railing by the porch and a few others have all been completed. We can start storing some things in the garage, use our new shower doors and have a yard, complete with a whole bunch of plans, and a bit of turf. Below is a series of photos of the south-east corner of the house that is rather fun. My thanks to our new friend Corey who visited the tour today. He took a great shot of the house and allowed me to share it here. We learned a ton in this process, and because we were as involved as we were, we have a much deeper appreciation for the work all of the craftsmen did in building our dream. I can not begin to express how thankful we are to have such a great crew, including our architect Marc Sloot of SALA Architects, our builder Kerry Hage of Hage Homes, Lisa Peck and Chistina Rymer of LiLu Interiors, Norm and Rob and Jesse and Craig and Ally and Greg and scores of others. The collaboration, creative problem solving and dedication was a wonder to behold! Comments are closed.
