The soffit in the great room and kitchen is taking shape! The curve from the kitchen into the great room isn't just an effect of the panoramic photo, it does follow a arc as it turns the corner. Once again this week, I am amazed by the detail and creativity of the folks at Partner's Woodcraft. Below you can see more of the details... So last week we had the air return duct extended from the wall, along the ceiling through the soffit.
It was quite the task. In the third picture you can just see a small piece of the ductwork in the upper right corner of the photo. In the fourth photo, you can see where the hole for the air return opens in the side of the soffit... Well, ok, you can't see where the hole is because these guys worked some magic and hid the hole so it isn't visible from the ground. This is just one example of the workmanship I absolutely love. I never even thought there was another way to do it, and yet there it is (or should I say, isn't?)! The carpenters have also been busy with more trim, and doors! In our "back path" into the master bedroom, we now have all the pocket doors in place. The pair of small closets in the front entry also have their doors now installed. And, our design for our solar panels is now complete! We need to get some backing installed in a couple places for the equipment, and once that is installed, we can start with the solar!! See you all next week! Comments are closed.
